Collaboration in the form of partnerships with leaders in the carbon value chain including Toucan, Flow Carbon and SCB have been set up by Solid World DAO to transform and disrupt the carbon market.

Bardee is the largest insect breeding, fertiliser and protein producer in Australia. Its products are helping to make agriculture more sustainable, offsetting carbon by diverting food waste from landfill, and replacing unsustainable feed and fertiliser in the food system.

ULUU is a safe, natural polymer, PHAs (polyhydroxalkanoates), that is durable yet truly biodegradable. It’s produced via fermentation using saltwater microbes, which reduces fresh water reliance as well as the need for costly & harmful chemicals and the energy-intensive, slow equipment sterilisation processes that traditional manufacturers of plastics perform.

Tanso aims to address the most pressing issue in sustainability management: ensuring data availability as a first step in enabling the complex process of calculating and reporting the environmental effects of physical goods. By developing software for industrial manufacturers, it is assisting one of the most emissions-intensive, yet underserved, industries in reaching net-zero and measuring, managing, and acting on their sustainability data while creating real business value.

FLO Materials is commercialising a new class of infinitely recyclable polymers called polydiketoenamines (PDKs) to enable sustainable manufacturing for hard-to-recycle plastics, including thermosets and mixed material composites used in durable goods. Spun out from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, FLO Materials aims to provide a turn-key transition to a more circular economy by combining a portfolio of recyclable materials and offering recycling as a service. Chemical recycling of PDKs through depolymerisation allows manufacturers to remove all additives, such as colours or plasticisers, and then remanufacture the recovered monomers into next-generation materials—without losing mechanical performance or aesthetic quality.

Modern Synthesis is creating the next generation of biomaterials. Their microbial-weaving technology uses living microbes to grow the biomaterials directly onto a scaffold. Not only does this allow them to create high-tensile, plastic free biomaterials, it enables greater aesthetic flexibility for their customers. They’re not just a leather replacement, they’re designing and creating entirely new materials capable of novel aesthetics.

Return is enabling mass adoption of climate finance in Web3 to make blockchain transactions environmentally sustainable. To achieve this, they’re launching the Return Protocol: an environmental offsetting process for on-chain wallets. By automatically offsetting an on-chain wallet’s transactions across any blockchain for free, the Return Protocol enables a net-positive climate impact on the planet.

Spoke eliminates the need for manual stakeholder updates by summarising and sharing progress to keep teammates and stakeholders up-to-date. Progress is gathered across the variety of tools individuals are using and turned into an update for teammates. This alignment is automated and updates are presented in a personalised feed for stakeholders that provides a general overview of each team’s activities.

SiZable Energy have reinvented pumped-hydro energy storage and brought it offshore. Traditional pumped-hydro exploits the gravitational potential of freshwater. SiZable exploit the gravitational potential of ~20% heavier-than-water sea salt brine in seawater. SiZ combines the benefits of pumped-hydro energy storage with the unlimited scaling potential and streamlined deployment provided by an offshore environment, all without making use of polluting or scarce materials.
